Most of you guys know me, and my 89 Coupe.
I don't know what to do with her anymore...
Here is a list of the problems...
Motor Mounts are shot.
Oil Pan Gasket needs replacing (I have the gasket, need someone to put it in).
Exhaust needs replacing, too loud.
The tranny seems to be having a problem. It doesn't slip at all, it just seems to not be starting in the right gear. If I start out with D or S3 the car seems to start in 4th. If I start out in 2 then it takes off in 2nd. Maybe the tranny mounts, and solenoids could be the problem. I don't know.
Brakes are finished. When I replaced my MC, my friend was trying to bleed the brakes and he accidentally broke two bleed valves, so I don't even know if I can change my brake pads. Now they are grinding.
It still has soo much life in it, even in her current condition she is getting me where I NEED to be. I don't want her to suffer.
Can someone help me? Tell me what to do, maybe come and help me 1-on-1?
I don't want advice. I want instructions.
Otherwise I might have to sell it, donate it, part it out, or junk it.
I LOVE my Legend, but because I don't have a job now, I can't afford to fix it. I am looking all over for work, but because of the holidays, nothing is immediately available.
Help me A-L.com, save a Legend, save a classic.
EDIT: I have basic tools, and a socket set. That is all. If someone gives me a detailed DIY then I will do it. Maybe first someone can tell me how to clean the solenoids.
Do NOT link me to a DIY, if anyone on here has PERSONALLY done it, then YOU tell me EXACTLY how you did it.
