my friend has a 1999 buick regal GS with the supercharged v6 240 hp, 0-60 in 6.6 sec i had NO IDEA those things had 280 lbs-ft of torque...holy sh!t, he challenged me to race and we're both stock. now looking at the numbers it looks like he would hand me my own a$$, what the hell, that is a big shock and surprise to me that those things had power like that.

Haha, well, at least you didn't accidentally accept a race with a Grand National or something (Mmmm, Grand National, might consider selling my soul for that car).

Anyone got the devil's cell phone number?:D

Hahaha, well if you really want, theres a guy at my work with a few of them in his garage, the one that's in good condition (runs 12's at the track with only a chip, intake and exhuast) is selling for $10k, and he has one that has a good motor but needs new interior and some body work for like $2k, not sure if he's already sold them or not but I can find out if you want....lemme know
What is a Grand National?
only the fastest FI Buick ever made. looks like a regal only black.....all black. not the new regal but the coupe body before it went to the FWD chassis. Man those things are incredibly fast. almost scary fast. also look out for the T-Type Regal, its just a Grand National (a.k.a. GN) with regal colors. the only insignias are on the quarter panel and rear deck lid proclaiming, "you just got beat by a dressed up GN" with as little amout of words needed, "T-Type"

one...

Man, I'd love to have a GNX, but there's no way I can afford 10 G's for a second car (sure as hell not selling the Legend, no matter what the trade is). I'm sure your friend will have no trouble selling that car for 10 grand though.

BTW, I saw a Buick today that had the body style of something like a chevy celebrity, not a regal, and it had a Grand National emblem on the back. It was a sedan and had the body work of a GNX. I know they made several kinds of Grand Nationals, anyone know what kind that is?
Yea, the GN kicks ass. A buddy of mine had one that was slightly modded. That big-block motor would really get up and go when you push the throttle. If you let up on the brake it would cruse at 25mph without giving it any gas! He could floor it on the freeway and burn out! Enough said. It's a fast, brutish American muscle car. I would love to have one :)

OH god, I hope you're joking. If anybody wants a really rare one, Toth Buick in Akron, Ohio has a 7,000 mile 84 Buick Grand National. Totally stock and in absolutely perfect condition.

This is a Grand National

The GN came with a turbo 3.8 V6, not a big-block. It's the same engine as the T/A 20th anniversary, and runs circles around most V8s
