ok how long was this "STREET" you did this on???


You went 140 in a STREET????


First off there are several things wrong with this.


1st off, this kind of speed should be done on the highway if it all.


2nd, there is no way a stock legend with 250,000miles can get up to 140 on a street, it takes time to get it up there and lots of road

3rd, doing 140 with your windows down is allmost not possible in a stock legend due to the huge air drag on the car


I've gotten up to 130 with my windows down but it took a long time and lots of open highway, and even then the car was very unstable.

I just wanted to see if you were lying or not and well, looks as you are.

I cant wait to start tearing down my C27 this winter tho, the buildup should be fun.

Im already there, i have the 5 speed apart and awaiting to be finished up and transplanted instead into my auto.

I have ported most of the intake manifold ( and for the record im keeping the butterfly valves and getting larger ones installed, i like the low end torque.

1 exhaust manifold is ported,1 to go. And damn those exhaust manifolds are insanely restricting, by far the biggest problem with power in are cars.

soon enough i will take my old non JDM motor's head off and get it shaved a little with some head porting, overall the heads look good for quality and factory flaw, but there is a big bump on the top of the chamber before the valve split ( it has to go )

as soon as i get most of that done im going to start on the custom Carbon Fibre bodykit and low pressure undercarraige.

With all this done im guessing it will be ready around christmas.

and the air will be nice and cold for a top speed test :D

im guessing it will max at around 150-160, but get there a hell of alot faster
 
if anyone wants some real top end contact paeco for some cams, that is where the real HP is at

for about 6500 you can get a 371 HP N/A engine.
 
I did 290mph in my Acura CL

of coarse thats after I added stage 3 muffler, full racing tranny, stage 3 weight reduction, stage 3 NA tuning, racing suspension and a racing chip.:D

first off my cars not stock second off it wasnt on the street i might have typed street but then agian i am human and third off i never said that it did it in a few second yea it took a while oo and we can talk about doin 140 but as soon as i say i raced somone they close the post off hmmm now that somthing that been bothering me thats kinda of a female trait

You have Intake, woohooo!!!!


You do know you actually loose power from only Intake right?

So actually your car is even slower than a stock legend.


I dont care if you "THINK" you can feel the power difference, but its all the effect sound makes. If you would like to prove me wrong Dyno the car with and without it.

If you want REAL gains you must balance your modifications.

If you do Intake you must do Exhaust (not just muffler) You need the full bigger piping and High Flow Cat.

And if you would like those mods to really start to make a bigger difference you must have your ECU Reprogrammed.

Our cars are OBD-1 Computer Systems, they DONT adjust to mods that modify the Air/Fuel Mixure very well at all.

Newer cars do much better since OBD-2 has the ability to Re-Learn beyond the factory settings and compensate for changes in air flow to profit from it.

oh yeah btw I do have a life, I work 5-days a week 11 hours a day and hang with friends as much as possible not to mention hit up the race track every friday night (legal drags at PIR dragstrip) Just because I post allot doesnt mean I dont. It doesnt take much to turn on a computer and post.
 
Whats the purpose of making the car quicker when you can't go any faster than 70 on the expressway. Mine does a nice 0-60 with no problem. Never needed to try to prove my top speed. Cant get there anyway, to many cars, accidents and state officers that wanna race ya.;) Only need for speed I need is NFS Underground.
 
I have a 85 ninja mrsmith, it has a shaved head and a compression ratio pushing 14:1 , its not fast enough for me even if it can get to the speed limit in 2 seconds from a roll :D, i will be completely rebuilding it again, with raceing vales/springs/ huge custom port job, some custom FI, screw the stock carbs. and it will have a performance exhaust.

it will still need to go faster after that is done

get the drift :D

yo steve check this out i wanted to know how i can get get more top end out of my car you came on my post and said this was piontless now yopu get mad when someone says somthing now come on really either dont say anything or keep your mouth shut cuz that type of stuff my lil sis does so hey think what you want oo by the way lets see who cars dies out first :D
