do you hear the gas pump turn on when u try n start it or a the starter relay click, also did you check if fuel was avalible at the fuel rails, if yea u may need to check if voltage is avalible to the coil packs, those are two of the major parts

yes i change it two times the first time it started up then when i drove a bout a mile i then turned it off then tried to start it back up it would not start
up. then i put in another main relay and it will not start up.

Sounds like your battery is shot...

Perhaps your alternator died and your battery has discharged because the alternator isn't delivering any charging voltage.

..Could be a faulty ignition switch..

It could be a faulty ignition switch if you get power to the car, etc when you initially put the key in the ignition, then as you turn the key the way, there are no lights. Does your horn, interior lights, and your headlights work?

yes all of the lights work and radio and the horn there is no dash lights and it starts up then shut right back off. as if there is no gas when i try to give it gas it shuts off anyway.

Ok, try this and tell me what happens. While cranking the engine, after it starts just slowly return the key back towards the run position until the starter stops. Basically don't let the return spring bring it all the way back to run on its own. So that you will end up with the key halfway in the start position. If the car stays running then the ignition switch is bad.

The guru is 97% sure your ignition switch is faulty!

The lack of interior lights made me think other than the ignition switch but it seems they work?

In that case, almost definitely an ignition switch... good call and good to see you around Lenny!

Thanks, and who the hell are you???? Do I know you?
:giggle:

Probably not... you were around a lot (and pretty helpful too) when I first started trying to be active around here but I've seen you come and go. I was just surprised to see you drop in as I haven't seen ya around in a while.

Cheers!

ok dude i will go try this tonight thanks alot i have to go check on it anyway to make sure she is still ok i appricate your help does anyone know how much these ignition switches go for and where i can find one?

It could be the ignition switch, or the fuse under the hood. that happened to me twice. headlights and brake lights work, but no dash light, replaced the fuse that screws on (dont know if G2 has them) and my dash light went back on.
