i need help

:( I have been having problems with my 1988 acura legend with v6 engine. ! the cv joint on the left side is going out. and 2 it jumps up idle and then it will drop back down to the regular idle. a freind told me it could be the kick down. it kinda revs a little when the idle is up sometimes it will rev a lot. it drive and gets me where ever i need to go it just does this sometimes. its been happening for about 2-3 weeks. its something to do with the trani but i dont think its going out i just dont know what it could be with out having to pay for the diagnostic do help

First off, Welcome. Not many ladys on the forum, and none from the 206 that I know of. Its good to have ya.
Ok now, On your first issue. The CV joint, You can get one of those from Napa Auto parts for 60.00 to 80.00 bucks for the joint and about 12.00 for the boot. They will charge you a core charge of about 80.00 that will be refunded when you bring your old one back to them.
#2, I dont think its trany related. I have had this issue as well. I took it to my mechanic and he said he cleaned the throttle body. It hasent happened sense then. As Luvmylegend said, I would have it diagnosed. I know it may cost a little, But it could save you alot in the long run. This could be a few different things.

If you dont have or know of a good/trustworthy mechanic, Holla, I have 3 that I could recommend. 2 are in the south end and 1 in Northgate.
