It's a type I, I don't think we have type II over here. My speedo goes up to 160 and I know mine's a type one.
I would love to swap my EDM's for someone's JDMs!! Though, mine have a stone chip in one of them. Anyone wanna swap?

I am not sure. I would imagine Mike Diaz is who you want to talk too. I am pretty sure he has installed JDMs, and I know he has installed EDMs. Also I think someone needs to be a gueni pig and try it out. I am a little concerned with that auto leveling system you guys have.

I am almost positive you have a Type I because even the JDM Type II has the same badge as the USDM Type II. I know there is a way to tell through the VIN. Post that up or manybe someone can post the codes. I saw it a couple of days ago, but I don't remember where.

apropo EDM's. Do you interested of gettin a pair for a Coupe? Only Coupe, not Sedan (damn I'm still searching of 1 headlamp for Stevieray.:( I already have the other side.) -Mike
 
I reckon it is a TYPE I, Even though the speedo goes upto 160 (and I have taken it upto 151 :D ).

The brakes are another indicator as mine are single piston as opposed to the TYPE II which are dual piston.

The Type II looks like a US/JDM special in that it has a few more horses under the hood.
 
151 :O - I've taken this Legend to 125 and i thought, its not worth it! My previous 91' G1 Legend i took to 135 and it still had a bit of pedal to go!

So its a type I - I've just installed my bayou type II chipped ECU over the weekend - It is compatible right? The engine light seems to come on aswell whenever i hit high revvs... :confused:

I am a little concerned with that auto leveling system you guys have.
I love that system :).

Anyone else know??? I really want JDM's but not if they are going to be too much hassle!

What is the possibility of making it happen?

Not only are my USDM headlights in great condition...I will also volunteer to pay for the shipping.

Ooh, our EDM's are complete of glass. And we have also a control system what is able to adjust the postion of our headlamps. That one is called MLS "Motorized Leveling System" controlled by a switch in the center console area next to the heat switches. This is used when you load down the trunk that will make the rear drop and the headlights to aim slightly up. You can lower the headlights aim by this switch and motorized system. There is either 2 or 3 positions depending on how much you need adjustment. Here a pic to see how it looks like...

Here you can see bothe Mike's during installing Mike D's EDM's Mike Diaz's EDM's. You can see the different? Yeah, EDM's have a different beam pattern. Mike told me, that the beam pattern is more brighter. Dunno I never noticed that. Many months before, I promised Mike to trade with him. Means to start a straight swap. At that time during my stay in OH we finally got the chance to swap our headlamps. Now Mike has mine and I have his phantastic USDM's (Yeah). And the best is: Both lapms fits 100% !!! No different, except that I described above. I love the USDM's much better than my EDM's. But we all knows: Everyone has different tastes. And I love USDM's more than the EDM's. Just bc I love the USA !!! Crazy, eh? -Mike

Yes...I heard of that system recently...they are on the higher end cars like Mercedes-Benz. But I think the Main purpose for the Mercedes-Benz is when you accelerate hard the nose/front end of the car goes up and the self leveling system would adjust the headlights so that you dont blind anyone that is driving in front of you. I didn't know that Acura had a similiar version of that system back in the early to mid 90's. I guess Acura's are pretty advance for it's time.

Mike - Do you have a picture of how that switch looks like inside the car? I just curious and I want to know how it looks like.
