Well, if it was an auto, there really isn't much to point to driver ability.

The only thing I can think of is that it either needs a major tune-up, or it was a very, very short light-to-light race where the 5-speed Accord got a jump on the auto Legend; and there wasn't enough road for the Legend to pull ahead.
