got a winterazation special at some local kwik kar it included antifreeze flush (prior owner had wrong fluid in) and a intake cleaning system a bottle of something through one of the hoses and spraying out the intake and a additive to the gas. well when the guy finised he test drove my car but he forgot to put one of the lines back on the intake, when he got back from the test drive he put it back on but then when i wasnt in gear my rpms wouold jump from 1000 to 1500 back and forth took it back and he said one of the lines that goes into the intake had a cloged screen ?? when i picked it up it had stopped but know it still occasionally does it again . anyjone have any idea of what is happening here?

I believe you need to adjust the idle speed.

Why does he need to adjust the idle? Unless the mechanic mess with the idle during the injector cleaning process, there is no reason to suspect the idle adjustment is off. You don't go around adjusting idle just for the sake of it. Rather than just masking the problem with the idle adjustment, I firmly believe in trying to find the root cause and fix it right. Having said that, it sounds more like a vacuum leak to me. Recheck all the vacuum lines and make sure there is no sign of looseness or damage on any of them.

it makes sense to check or adjust the idle speed if the rpm is whacked out. :D

OK ... even *I'm* tired of this ...

Why indeed!?

I have no idea why Phan_Nam420 seems compelled to "react" rather than "think" about BS he puts out on the forum. I've only been around here only a little while and TRULY qualify as an OG (57 y.o. original owner of 92LS sedan), but the bandwidth being wasted by this guy is borderline criminal. He either needs to buy a car or finish ricing up his Mom's machine. Get a clue, Ho. Or give me the contact who sells whatever you've been smoking, as I haven't had that good s__t in a long time. StevieRay, I have no idea how you got the patience, man.

OK. Now you can :giggle: up my post in your reply, Ho! VERY creative.

Redeeming social value = your mom's Legend.

Yeah. Sometimes no advice/insight, is better than bad advice/insight.

could someone cause a bhg if a radiator flush is done improperly because after the guy tried to fix it he said something about low compresion and that i might have problems in the future. i was wondering because i read something about idle fluxuation when you do not bleed properly the sensor is not submerged ?? i think these peaple messed up my car and trying to cover it up.. anybody help help !!!

When you clean out your vacuum lines and intake, it can cause the idle to jump. The carbon builds up around the idle screw and slowly brings the idle down, that is why you turn it up. When you clean it depending on how bad it is you get lots of air flow now you got a problem.

The fix you ask take your air intake off locate your idle screw and the start your car.

Then put one finger in the intake and find the little hole below the screw

Then unscrew the idle screw a turn out then a turn in while pluging and unpluging the little hole rapidly.

Then shut the car off, reset the ecu then start back up and it should be fixed. If that does not fix it then you need to bleed your cooling system.

I do not know why honda's do this but they all do depending on how much carbon build up there is.

I think this is making much sence. I have a 90. One day I decided to clean my EGR valve. Took it off and cleaned it to the best of my ability. after cleaning it, My Idle is alittle higher than normal on start up. I didnt bother my idle screw or anything but it isnt like it was before I cleaned my EGR valve. So It makes sence to me what Ive just read on the forum about Idle adjustment. Whats not clear to me is how to adjust it. Yeah I read how to adjust it, but Im not getting it.

I have a 90 Sedan. Can I get the adjustments for my year. Please
