What's up guys??

I recently bought a couple knick-knack car audio items to upgrade my already decent sounding stock system and I was just wanting to get some ideas on installation and what type of set-up sounds best.. This is what I have to work with..

Audio/Video
- AVXP7000CD 7" Pioneer 7" Widescreen Monitor/CD Player
- AVMP8000R Pioneer Master Unit
- Sony Playstation 2

Mid/High Range Driver's
- KFC-X698 Kenwood Excelon Oversized 6x9 3-ways
- KFC-X178 Kenwood Excelon Oversized 61/2 2 ways

Subwoofers
- (2) JL Audio 12W3-D4's

Amps
- JL Audio 300/4 4 Channel Full Range Amplifier
- JL Audio 300/2 2 Channel Sub Amplifier

Installation on the Monitor, Brain Box and Mid Range Speakers has been done already because there isnt nothing that a person could do to make it look that much different aestetically without going full custom... For the trunk I am lookin to do something relatively simple using the factory gray colored felt fabric, not to make it TOO flashy but I want it clean, flushed in.

Let me know what you all think???

Thank you, -Vito

Hey there, that's quite a purchase you made there. If you're really going for the CLEAN look, and I mean the really really clean look, here's what I would do: Have a custom box built for the back of the trunk, then have a false wall built in front of it in which you would flushmount the two amps. The subs are entirely out of sight and all you see is a perfectly factory looking back wall with two amps (and maybe a cap) in it. CLEANEST install I have ever seen. Simple yet elegant. This is what the people with the bimmers and the benzes are doing these days.

BTW, if you want some ideas, check out AutoSoundSpecialists.com. This is where I got my trunk done and they have some pics of people's setups there, just click on "install".

No problem man. Here's kinda what I was talking about (http://www.autosoundspecialists.com/installs/merc3.html) but you can make it a bit more fancy if you'd like. But something along these lines would look super clean. Good luck with whatever you decide. BTW, in my own personal setup, I have a custom box with the two subs facing out towards the back of the car and a false wall around the parts that don't get covered by the box for a cleaner look. I also removed my spare and had an amp rack built in the wheel well in the middle of the trunk floor. The rack is covered with plexy and lit with two neon bars. Just another idea for ya. Have fun!

can u post pics of that?
I'm in the middle of reworking the system (getting new subs and maybe a new amp too) so it's not much to look at right now, but as soon as I'm done with that, I'll get on it.
