Hey wassup everyone. Im about to buy an intake from the Weapon-R company and i had a question. What is the difference between the Weapon R Hyper Intakes v/s the Weapon R Dragon Intakes. The site states that the Hyper intake gives you 7.5 to the wheels and im not sure with the dragon intake. The price difference between the two is only 5 bucks so im guessing that they are pretty much the same thing. And another question. How would i know if i need an intake w/ or w/o a TCCS. What is a TCCS (TEMPERATURE _______CONTROL SENSOR???) Let me know....Nando..

I had the Hyper and then switched to the Dragon...on the inside of the pipe of the Dragon there is an internal piece not sure what kind of difference it makes but the guys at Import studio.com said the Dragon makes more power. And the easiest way to tell if you need the one w or w/o TCCS is how many hoses attach to the air intake. I'm an idiot so this is how it was explained to me. Look at my pics on my site of my engine this is the one with TCCS, 3 hoses connect to the intake.

Both intakes will probably perform about the same ... the dragon is a new design in terms of looks.

As for TCCS (it's actually TCS) is Traction Control System. This was on 93-95 LS Coupes and 94-95 GS Sedans. Sure way to tell if you have it is to open your hood, and right on the intake pipe will be a black unit, about 3" long, with TCS embossed on it.

probably not much of a difference, just that dragon is newer and has a more aggressive and in my opinion, much nicer look to it.

i had the hyper intake, but it got stolen when my car got broken into, and i replaced it with dragon intake and it works real nice and sounds nice too.

the hyper has been out for several years, and the dragon just came out a year ago at most, so five dollar difference, go with dragon.

I knew that TCCS didn't sound right even though i would of never guessed that it was called a traction control system. Thanks for the information. I will be looking into purchasing the Dragon intake in the next couple of days...Ohh and another thing, Spark Plugs. I have heard of Denso Iridiums and NGK Platinums. What is a good set that you all recommend??
