sorry, I've been out of town for a while. Don't worry about slaming the hood on them they will be ok. They have 30oz of glass per sq/ft. Just to test them out I drove over them with my dad's X5, not your set but one I made a while back. The pice that wraps around the corner lamp cracked but them main part of the eyelids was still in one piece. There was some cracking but that's to bee expected with a SUV driving over them.
No problem, I found an easy solution to to my problem. I loosened the hood latch and made a slight adjustment and also turned the rubber knobs so that the hood fits more flush than ever.

The fiberglass eyelids are $50 unpainted. As far as carbon fiber goes the prices depend on the going rate for carbon fiber. I need to get more but with the war the prices for carbon fiber are more than double what they used to be.

Is it possible that you can match, or come close to matching,
the weave on my C.F. hood? I am still super interested in the
C.F. eyelids that look like the ones you did for stalker
(the aggressive, half-length ones). Let me know how much you'd want.

Are you making them for sedans as well? If so, I would love to purchase a pair. I have a 1991 L, and I would need them unpainted being that I'm not sure as to what color I will be painting the car. I'm also not sure if having JDMs matter or not, because they will be going on them. PM me and let me know something.

That would not be a problem, all I would need are some detailed pictures of the edge of your hood at the headlights. As far as the clear coat, I clear coat every carbon fiber piece I make.

I think I have to remake the molds for the sedan, as soon as I have some time I will try to fix the molds and if I can't I will see what I can do about making some new ones.
