recently bought a 93 Coupe L Type II. 128k miles. stock. runs very good. besides the paint fading on the hood everything is perfect. all electronics work.

I was very impressed with the small features like seatbelt assist and the door close assist. did I also mention I am impressed with the power they have.

Car fax is clean. Thanks to member 'suzook'. I am the third owner. No accident history and the body also looks straight. anyway onto the pics. they are not that great. will wash/wax it on the weekend to bring out the beauty.

I was lurking around searching on the forum....and came across many posts made by MikeD. I am just curious... did he ever visit the US?

Thanks.

If the pics dont work here is the link for the album......

ugh...I have the same problem...I hate when they do that...one day I got so mad I snapped and told them to close it gently >_< but yeah...its not okay man...in my opinion...I'm sure everyone will tell you the same thing...

I have to laugh

Welcome to the Forum. I swear to God I have more enemies and lost more girlfriends from telling them not to slam the ******* door. I tell them this is a quality automobile not a friggin truck. :D Alas better to have my legend with door closures that work than smart ass compadres.......... :giggle:

Hey welcome fellow H-town legend owner. If your doing the normal bolt on's I would suggest you get an ecu upgrade, to make the most of your new mods. Talk to got2loveme9 and he will hook you up. Welcome to the forum and seya at the next Houston meet, if we ever have another one lol.

I know what you mean on the door closing thing. It really annoys me when people slam the door, as they weigh quite a bit!
Yeah, I hate that too when anyone tries to slam the door. Chris, what you can do, is to disconnect the cable of our 'Motorized Door Lock Striker'. This one is behind the B-pillar on the bottom next to the seat belt pretensioner. I did that too and after I unplugged, I have an excellent sound when I close my door. The same good slamming sound on my old KA3 Coupe. It sounds great. And honesty I never needed that feature, really. -Mike

BTW: If you want I can upload a pic of that thing and how it looks like.

Does anyone know if slamming will damage the door closing mechanism?
Hmm good question. I never thought about that. So I think and believe that a very hard slamming is really not good for our door - esp not for the door lock actuator ! -Mike

Thanks. I will try to keep up with the forum to see if there is a legend meet in the future.
