*Not actual bar - just an example for reference with zinc plating*

The bar has 4 bolts for the "center" mounts and 1 for each end link for a total of 6 bolts. I can see a slight working space issue with the 2 center mount bolts just before the muffler. Other than that, it's straight out bolt & play. The same bar works for both the coupe and sedan.

Will you please answer my question Leon?
I am sorry Rangerjoe. Please remember I just picked up the ball on this, so I need to get some more information on any questions outside of what we have posted above. However, in my original post, I did mention that it is a 7/8" bar. I will try to find out if we can figure out weights and any other specifics. This bar will be made by ADDCO, the one that we saw on ebay.
As far as a front bar, lets see how this goes, and we can go from there. We do not want to overdo it...they will have to be engineered to work together. Matched set

2 - Leon Millette
3 - Stevieray (3/15)
4 - Sprung17 (3/22)
5- Rawdog805 (3/15)
6 - Hotlavaflow (?)
7 - 92coupeon18s (?)
8 - Ackvigend (3/15)

I do not think you will have to worry about anything breaking off as it comes with urethane bushings. If it makes everyone feel better, I will test the first unit to ensure that it is to our standards. This means autocross/track use. I do drive hard, so that would be a perfect test.

come on, send your money so I can communicate the commitment indicated in the other thread!

If you are new, ask anyone, I am trustworthy, and have been around for a long time (I am not a newb) For you vets, its me! Lets do this! :werd:

i think the sway bar is 1/4" larger in diameter than the stock sway bar. I think it will be a big improvement in handling and body roll. I want one..but still deciding rather to spend the money on getting my lip and side skirts painted..or to get sway bar. DECISIONS! :(
Get the sway bar and buy a few bottles of touch-up paint to do it yourself for cheap. :D

However, I do have two questions:

1) Does everyone really think the 1/8 of an inch is going to be a noticable improvement?
2) Has anyone confirmed that the stock bar is in fact a hollow bar?
I've recently taken off the stock bar and it weights no more than 3lbs. The new zinc-plated bar will weight somewhere b/w 6-8lb. Based on Addco's claim that their 7/8" prototype offers an increase of more than 150% over stock, the stock hollow bar is comparable to a solid 5/8" bar. Using basic math, going from 5/8 to 7/8" is like a 1/4" increase in diameter. When you plug these numbers in the formula: [(7/8) / (5/8)] ^4 , you get very close to what Addco claims as the increase in stiffness over the stock bar.

It will have the zinc-plated look:

I'm pretty sure the supply is there as long as there is sufficient demand. But at this point, what are the chances of a second round when we're pulling teeth left & right? If she did have left overs, would it cost $50 more like these HERE
Right now, we have that opportunity to get it a pretty darn good price.

Thanks everyone..
Ka8, thanks for clarifying

Everyone, please copy and paste your name and when you will be paying in the format I have done above. In order to keep this thread simple, I suggest that we only use it to discuss payment dates, and post any questions in the other thread. This has the tendency to get huge (page-wise). Mike C, Stevie and 49er I appreciate your comments, just want to ensure that I do not miss any details.

Thanks! :)

In addition, PLEASE post your Legend S/N in your paypal payment.

Anyone requesting an alternate means, trust me, paypal is quick and easy to use. I have been using it for 3 years with no problems. I rather not touch anyone's $$$. If you must use moneyorder, please email me.

Almost there. Please do not FORGET this. This is our chance to shine. Put it in your PDA, Outlook calendar, Refrigerator, WHATEVER!

This is a relatively inexpensive part, unlike a leather group buy or whatever else, for less than 200.00! Don't snooze and when we have them, you wish you did too! If we can get the actual money in hand, I will see if we can get some more goodies from them as well. But $$ Talks and you know what walks!

Thanks everyone!! Now, copy the list above and add your name/date as I did above. We are almost there......

BIG THANKS to everyone that has committed and sent payment! You will love this I am sure.

PS - Can I get a sticky/slimming of this thread to the topic? I want guaranteed success. Thanks!

Leon,

Before I pay, I need to know what postal service company will the bar be shipped?

It is important to me because receivement at my company depends on the postal service company. Is the $13 buck shipping by USPS, UPS, or FedEx?
I also need this confirmation ... mine MUST be sent USPS, or it's not worth it (UPS charges $50 broker fee!!!). If need be, I can make alternate shipping arrangements with Addco.

Money sent..oh yea...thanks Leon..you're the man. looking forward to receiving it..add me to the list

I have never seen so many people complain about being so poor in one place. Dont any of you poor people got any type of skills to have a job?

What are you going to do in the real world when a real bill is due?
I see your point, we have a lot of "definites" until its time to layout the funds then everyone goes MIA.

Buying a sway-bar should not be a gauge of someones finc'l situation. But we do have some younger folks without the means and are goin from paycheck to paycheck (we were all once there).

It should of been made clear "I'm in" meant "not this month maybe next month." It does look bad for all of us (in Addco eyes) as Legend owners to make empty promises. It only ends up wasting everyones time and causes fustration to those who want to see this GB happen.

My .02 cents

PS - If we're short let me know. Some of us will buy two just to make this happen. I'm sure re-selling these will not be a problem later on.

For me.. I need it shipped FedEx or UPS. Each postal service is recieved by different people here at my company.

The guys that work in receiving gets UPS/FedEX items which is fine with me, because they work on the shop floor. But USPS is received by the Vice President. It would make me look informal to have something bulky coming to him to be handed to me. We reserve bulk/shop floor items to UPS/FedEx, and reserve USPS to documented items, that's why the VP receives them.

I remember when he was carrying a bigass/tornup box of JDM headlights to my office desk, and it was kind of embarrassing.

Please let me know shipping quotes of UPS or FedEX to Suwanee, GA 30024.

thanks.
