re: changing interior

hey guys, yeah i just changed my entire interior this pass weekend...and i can tell you its a lot of work. I didn't even get a chance to do the seat belts as time was of the essence. To change the console, armrest, door panels, rugs seats, glove box...it took about 13 hours. That is if you do it straight.

anyhow. i'll take some pics. Or you can show up at the acura legend tristate meet on saturday the 15th.

I did my interior as well, went from Ivory to Black. It was rather difficult, but it wasn't too bad!! I still have yet to change my front seat belts because I have to buy some. My dashboard is still brown...but I'm waiting to buy some vinyl spray paint to paint my air bag. I got my interior from a 92 L coupe, and the seats weren't useable. But as far as fitment issues, everything went in with no problem.

Some quick pics-

i think you'll have a better chance to swap with someone who wants a tan interior. Some of the parts are hard to get, and i would have to agree; its easier in some aspects to spray them black with flexable vinyl paint. It comes out pretty good.

you need to buy that 12 dollar a bottle vinyl spray and need to sweep it many times over....so that i can come out smooth. Otherwise you'll have drips everywhere. (Let the mist drop slowly from the air. ...after it was done it looked almost original...and we put nail polish remover on it and it didn't come off so its pretty durable,

Yeah, but it's more like 11 or 12 bucks, as opposed to 7 or 8 at wal-mart. The selection at either place is crappy (usually black and tan or white), but if you search for it there's a link to the manufacturer's website I believe. I was at one point thinking about painting the lower half of my interior white and the seats white (the stuff says it works with leather, don't know anyone who's tried it though), with rich blue center sections, and blue dash inserts as accents. I dunno, I just like white, blue, and black. They go together well, as long as you can find all the same shade of blue. My dream is blue calipers, blue LEDs in the corner lights, and blue accents in the engine as well. I suppose it would be really hard to keep the white carpet clean (Assuming I could die it white somehow), but people would be a lot more careful about knocking the crud off their shoes! :) ahhhh, if only I had money. . . .
