Welcome. Sounds like the valve seals. Temp fix = do a search for Lucas Oil here on the forum. Perm fix = valve job.

This problem will not get any better no matter what you use...

My car has been smoking for the better part of 1.5 years. In that time I've put over 50k on my car. When the Lucas Oil it put in when I change my oil, I have no smoke, and without it, it smokes BADLY.

not to be a thread hijacker but you meantioned you run 10w 40, i was thinking about using some 5w 30 castrol gtx high mileage, what's your experience for best oil for a g2 legend?

I didn't know they had lucas oil, I knew they had lucas oil additive!! One time I got stuck in traffic, stand still traffic, and my car smoked soooooo bad!! It was worse than a big rig, so embarassing, to the point where I wanted to tint my windows out to complete darkness!! Not to mention, my temp gauge started going up until I finally had to pull to the side of the road and let traffic die down, last time I drove my Legend around traffic time!! I'm so grateful now that the problem's solved!!!

That was my mistake, I meant Royal Purple 5W-30, and have corrected my post. That, along w/the Lucas, seems to have eliminated all of my issues.
