This car is just amazing. Our legends have uphill and down hill decent. I noticed this, I just didnt know why my car would this. When going down a slight hill grade, take your foot of the accerlarator and you'lll notice the car acutually slows down like theres friction in the grearing. You will notice the Rpms drop dramatically then settle. This is for a "smooth transition" going down hill like the article explains.
i know theres a ton of options. the whole list is on there somewhere. i need to update my "every option available for the legend" thread with the pics on that site!

i'm gonna turn that whole thing into a PDF just incase its lost someday.
oh and up in the top left corner of the site, if you click on 'fact book' (its really little) it takes you to the main page with the list of every jdm honda with full feature lists/images and specs and descriptions. awesome site!

Jesus I hope you are not serious. Thats called "engine braking" (simply put). Much more prominant in a manual.

The level of intelligence around here has taken a MAJOR fall in the past day or two.

Shaar, I think you were the only person that didnt know about yahoo auctions. We dont need a JDM section, and you should definitely not be the mod of it (or anything else). Just because you thought you found it before anyone else? Come on man, you are not that smart.
Amazing find Shaar. You find out anything new on the Missouri meet?
that car had a 360watt system in it. wish i had that when i first got my legend.

i think if the legend sold today with all its features, plus a couple modern day simple technologies (projectors, bluetooth, etc) it could seriously compete with some luxury cars today.
Calm down RangerJoe. I know its called engine braking. But if you read, then you will find out this is in D4 the highest gear.NOT shifting down to D3 or 2nd gear to use the engine for braking. This is all while the lever is left in D4. And yeah your right the level of intelligence has taken a fall the last couple of days, why are you bashing?
this is a cool find, but there really is no need at ALL for an entirely seperate forum for JDM TyTeY tYtE stuff.
thank you ass. i didn't say i found anything new. I'm sure everybody knows about Yahoo! Japan auction. Just like everyone knows about Google.. but people ask questions before searching. You're making such a big deal about your point and starting a useless argument. i just made a thread about it and organized it so its easily viewable to other forum members. you don't have to take a stab at my intelligence level. i'm not trying to cause harm, i'm just trying to help.

P.S. i know i got a little carried away with the jdm section thing but i would just like it to be easier for people to find exactly what they need. i know it would have been nice for me to not search for days to find every piece of jdm info i needed... and i'm STILL not done researching. for example, thats why there is a newbie faq stickied for the legend. it answered pretty much any question i really had about the basics. but i'm sorry i'll calm down.

Ranger Joe... OKAY...
Shaar:nice find, I think you're pretty clever, if it helps :)
I will digest that link and learn some stuff. Cuz I guess I'm not as smart as Ranger Joe anyways

P.S.
I dont see where an entire JDM subforum was suggested. Could one of the Super Intellegent All Dancing Snowflakes help this poor fool?

nah i'm not wanting to be praised (thats not why i'm on the forum posting my finds) i just wanted to help out a bit.. contribute to the forum.. i've pulled enough info off of here that i figured i should put some back in.
Maybe Ranger Joe can help since he feels any and everyone are eager to hear his negative comments

he suggested it in the User Feedback forum, and he either deleted it himself or it was deleted by a mod or something.

since i complimented this thread anyway, instead of wasting another post over there, i said something about it here.
yea i took it out of the forum quickly after i realized it was taking on fire. dumb idea i guess. no worries its gone.

well thats FOUR that youve made today.
Once again, you are behind the ball, everyone else knew I was an a-hole already.

you are wasting bandwidth though

you obviously thought it was a bad idea too. if thats all it took to get you to come back off your stance, then hell.

what else do i want you to do.... :giggle:

actually, it's a little more than 'engine braking', it's computer controlled for ascent and descent.... the system is apparently called 'prosmatec'.
I think it's a good find, and informed a lot of us about features we didn't know our cars had. good work shaar.
Its not hill descent, or ascent.

just because it wont shift out of gear going 10mph, doesnt mean there is a specifically made "hill ascent" action taking place in the computer.

because thats what the systems do today. they limit you to like 3-5mph, no matter how much you throttle the car.

well after i got negative comment on it as the idea's first reaction, i thought about it and realized that i went overboard. i already admitted that. a few posts back yet it makes you feel like a better man to keep going with it. i hope forum members can use the info i found to their advantage and to further their knowledge of their own cars.

ps. if you say i'm 'wasting bandwidth', then obviously you're wasting bandwidth by always having a rude comment to everything. posting something that can 'informationally' better the Legend community isn't a waste. yes i realized after i posted my idea and it got shat on that it was a waste. but i don't see how bashing me for it and everyone else for everything else is beneficial to this forum? Now, through all your negative comments i have kept calm and collected. i guess if i was a better man like you, i would rant and rave back at you and call you stupid and how everything you say is wrong to make myself feel better. but i will admit my wrong doings becuase 'forum/internet status' isn't really of importance to me. According to post count, i am still a noob. But i don't want to present myself as one.
