Legend owners can not and should not stand for this!

Yesterday, I raced an Acura Integra LS 5 speed w/ intake and exhaust. Although he said that he often beats Eclipse Turbos, GSRs, SIs, etc...,I was quite confident that my 93 auto coupe would show him whats up.

We raced to about 80mph, and although I was pulling strongly in the end...HE WON!?
I was beaten by a 4 cylinder! No! I won't have it!
What must I do to remedy such a pitifil situation?
As proud Legend owners, we must be able to destroy these little rice rockets.

What do I need to do to be able to leave these economy boxes in the dust? Please help me to once again properly represent the Legend

If he is really beating tubo cars, he probably has an engine swap or forced induction himself. I wouldn't worry about it since he really isn't an ordinary 4 cylinder car. Those cars have a lot of afgtermaket support and engine swaps are cheap. He could have dropped in a Type R engine in there.

yeah there is an extrememly large aftermarket for those cars

some ricers arent what they seem...some have invested thousands of dollars into their cars

i have seem a few of them....i know them as hardcore racers
unfortunately, his engine was a stock Integra -not even VTEC (I saw under his hood) He did however, have the inside stripped and a carbon fiber hood.

Tell me that there are some legend owners who take these cars to school - DV8? someone?
my friend has about the same car...its a 94 integra ls...to be honest it's pretty quick. i know he's got about every bolt on to it....intake, exhaust, headers...but everyone is right. if you really want hp then buy the headers that legendary94gs is importing...oh yeah and my friend and i added up how much he spent into his car...15 grand. crazy huh

Than he has some trick up his sleeve. Maybe he had internal engine work or some pory and polishing done. A stock LS Teg has what? 142HP stock? they gain about 10-15 HP with basic bolt on (I/H/E), so that could bump it up to about 157-160HP at the crank. Given that the stock Civic Si on papar has the same low 7 0-60 and upper mid 1/4 mile times as a stock TYPE II automatic Legend, and the top speed of the LS Teg is only in the 130 range, even with the wieght reduction I can't understand why he would be walking away from a TYPE II especially over 140 MPH.

Unless that weight reduction really does some awsome wonders, there isn't a stock LS Teg that I know, even with stripped interiors running in the 14 second range, and none are beating turbo DSM cars.
I guess ricers are finally waking up to the need for speed after spending all these years looking fast. With the amount of money poured into body kits, rims, 5" tips and stickers, most of these guys should be running 13s by now had they stuck with the sleeper look.
I have a real simple remedy, NOS. Just NOS your Legend. If you are scared to NOS it, like some people are, you might as well give up on racing (I have, but if I had NOS, I would be handing out ass-whoopins' any chance I get!). I hope to run a 2 stage dry manifold setup soon, 50 and 100 shot. Anyway, I lose almost every race with any car (yes, auto Accords included) in the first 200 feet, but most of the time I can show my taillights before we break the posted speed limit. BTW, I had a modded 97 Integra, and I traded it on my 95 Legend because the Teg could not keep up with traffic on hot summer days with the A/C on, it had no useable torque. It was quicker, I think, but I am much happier with the torque and relaxed cruising power of the Legend.
I knew a kid with a Senta 200SX that used nitrous all the time eventaully it destroyed his engine, I think a piston went through his engine or something.
Is there any chance of serious engine damage to the Legend motor is NOS is used?
BTW, I have raced integras and Civic SIs on the highway, and you are right, they cannot keep up. At times, I literally slow dwn and wait for them to catch up. At 80+ MPH, Legends rule!

don't talk sh!t about body kits, rims, stickers, etc. i have a legend obviously, with all those things done to it, and let me tell you, i can kick the sh!t out of most "rice rockets". and there's nothing wrong with looking fast, as long as you plan to back it up someday with some real mods.

http://www.inexpro.com/legend_temple/, then go to legend gallery [G2], then look for Jimel Abbad's [that's me] 1992 white coupe, and check it out, how you like them apples?

if your websites acutally work then perhaps we can all check out your PHHHHATTT ride.

Just a suggestion, might want to tone it downa little, you sound like a 15 year old kid! You wont last too long with that kinda of attitude.

personally I find stickers on cars as basically saying one thing, "hey yall, come over and steal my stuff!", but your preference is your own.

please put up a link to your car that works, and I sure you "got em kwazzy apples", but then again, I am sure many members of the board has cars that are just as nice if not nicer than you..

latz,

nice looking coupe there man...:)

Your ride looks good man. :D
You just gotta calm down you seem like you took those statements personal.

No doubt most of them need to back up their trash "talking
". Not sure why you think your ride is so rice though. It's nowhere even close to being the rice we're are referring to. Where are the stickers that claims your typeI have a 6speed, or one that says "SuperSpeedGozilla" across the windshield, or 5" tip with the tall arse whale tail? (The P3 w/ tall tail and baddass are among the many exceptions cuz they are so damn pimped that most of us will care less if they run 16s ) IMHO 98% of the Legend members here have tastefully done legends. In fact I myself was looking to upgrade the rear bumber for dual pipe outlet:
http://www.andysautosport.com/91legendr.html :p
But if I were to sport the Combat Bomb kit without the FMIC, that would be rice.

The guy could have had an engine swap and then still used the covers from his old engine to make it look like it wasn't an H22/B18 etc... Don't worry about it like a lot of the other guys said. I have had tons of cars beat me that I thought I could kill out at the track simply because many of those cars are so light and are manuals. Don't worry about it, your car is still a hell of a lot more fun to drive I guarantee you than that 94 teg.

LOL, I would pay anyhting to get a windshiled banner that says that!!!!!
