Rear Lower Tie Bar

What's the latest news on the rear lower tie bar group buy? I'd like to get one as soon as possible.

Well, we've found out that some work will need to be done because ones built for the coupe are not directly adaptable to the sedan and vice versa.

I hope to find some time to bring my car in to the shop so that we can work on the design of this bar soon.

It's amazing how different the two cars (Sedan and Coupe) differ. So simialr yet so different.

well i have a 91 sedan soon to be type II ($$$head gasket$$$) and i'm interested if we get more than 20 people. under $200 sounds good to me. keep this updated so we can get it done. i just bought the front brace.

Legend Tir Bar

I just voted in the poll and it looks to me that we have more than enogh people to get the lower price. When are we going to be able to put in our orders and send in our $'s?

what's going on with this? .. is this another dead project? .. or is something happening behind the curtain?

I'll be able to get on it once everything has settled.

Will be sure to keep you posted.

Also we found that the tie bar supplied has fittment issues with sedans. We are looking into a design that will fit sedans and coupes.

Any update on this? Or if ChrisK was able to get his DC one dupe'd that'd be fine too. Either should work really nice once in place. Keeping body flex to a minimum would be very nice. The rear end needs to be firmed up for sure. I was playing with a S4 in the Colorado Foothills about 1.5-2 months ago and it was fun playing with him in the twisties but he was way faster than me for sure & in the more extreme corners I could feel the rear end want to start walking away on me. The Front end felt quite nice but the rear end needs work. I imagine doing this Tie Bar on the Rear end & then doing Koni's all around keeping the stock GS Springs for now should be nice. If I can find a way to keep 100% complete stock ride-height on a set of springs one day fine but that prob wont be for some time in the future. Besides, I like how the Springs themself feel, but the struts could use some work. Too bad Tokico doesnt have anything for us G2's

The DC tire bar I had was sent to Fut and Graeme for duplication. As mentioned above, it has fitment issues between Coupe and Sedan, thus they are developing their own version to fit both. It will be more cost efficient that way as a direct duplication of the DC was not practical. My DC bar is now enjoying its new home with a fellow Legend owner and friend of mine in San Francisco :)

As far as I know it's still in R&D stage. Maybe LegendGS can post more info but I'm sure that's where we are on this.
