Ok, maybe this sounds dumb but I do believe our Legends are a lot better than the 3-Series from BMW. My dad brought home a '00 3-Series from the dealership he works at and let me drive it. I enjoy driving my Legend a whole lot better. I mean, the whole central locking and unlocking and window roll-down/up was nice but the steering was STIFF and the acceleration was very slow. The trunk was tiny and the whole window switches on the console was a nuisance. No CD changer/player at all. The sunroof was also very small. While I loved the look of the car and the smooth ride and being seen in a BMW, I would much rather drive my 94 Legend over that '00 3-Series. Better price I think too. ;)

well, unless it's the over priced 328 or 330, 3 series are not a performance threat to Legends at all:D

Well I wnated a 3-Series too until I drove this one. I might still want an M3 but if I had my choice it would be an M5 (drooling). Once I get my degree in a couple of years I'll probably give my Legend to my sis and get a 5-series if not a Benz E320. Depends on what my budget allows. :p

I don't always get to drive my mom's Legend (when my car is in the garage or whatever). I once took a 328i sport manual on the highway. The guy in the 3series peed his pants not knowing why the hell I could pull so hard on him.

From 50mph - 70mph, he gained 2 cars on me. From 80-110mph, the Legend will hit its sweet spot and keeps pulling like crazy. I could hear the 3 series tuned exhaust rushing out gaseos. I know the guy was flooring, but I kept pulling on him. From 120mph, he was gone. With a 5 speed, the Type-I can definetly beat a 330i. Those BMWs are not tune for high end performance and they are not ideal for top speed racing.

I'd rather have a 5 or 7 series if it was a BMW for me. I think my cousin had a 2000 330 coupe or something and it was nice, but too cramped for me. I need a sedan b/c everythings big in Texas except short of getting a dualy truck.

the BMW has it's place. Which usually isnt with me. Except for the coupe from the '90's and a M5. It's not the size or anything else. I know I have shocked my share of BMW's. I have taken on all I see except the 2 M5's in my neighborhood. Good luck to you all, but watch out there are more mods for the 3 series.
Later!

A few months ago I had the opportunity to drive a 96 328i for 10 days. It was a 5sp and I was about to buy it. I did a lot of mods in my car but from a standing point, the bimmer is just plan fast. I reached the 100 mph in no time and usually was n't using the 5 gear until 100 or 110. After 7 days, i started missing the confort of my legend. we have the best seat period. And the console of the legend is just ...............
BUT i think my next car will either be a GS400 or a 5 serie or if I'm really lucky a Twin Turbo Supra.

My dad just bought my mom a 99' 323i conv. today, I have to admit the metallic blue paint looks sweet, and the interior is amazing.. I have yet to drive it, but I can't wait, it also has the Arman Cardan sound system, it sounds ba.
U must mean Harmon Kardon.
