i have searched the forum about this and i just want to know if it could be

something other then the main relay.

the car wont start. it cranks but wont start.

it shuttered like it was going to start for about a second.

my car has been sitting for about a week and its been really cold here.

any ideas

if you can trun the key and hold it in position 2 and it remains running, then it's the electrical portion of the ignition switch. $70 from the dealer and 10 min to install. good luck.

the fan is on when the key is turned.

the car is dead cold!

sounds like what happened to me this morning...dead battery....just get someone to jumpstart you and you should be fine

i already had a jump.

it something else, the fan to the radiator turns on right away.

it like its not getting any fuel.

Idk if there could be any difference between a legend or any other car on this but it could be the fuel pump went out

would the main relay fail if its really cold outside?

check the fuel rail...to see if your getting any fuel...if you do get fuel...your main relay is fine...if not..then maybe main relay or fuel pump....check for spark also.

i checked to see if fuel pump came on when i turned the key. it didnt seem to come on at all.

did you just listen for it or are you checking the fuel rail to see if fuel is getting there?

i got my main relay apart and it looks like i have a dry joint

i swapped out my old relay with another one and it still not working. i checked the fuel pump in the trunk and the clear tube by the anttana is empty. does anybody know how much the fuel pump would cost to replace?

the clear tube by the antenna is for drainage purposes so that when it rain water doesnt get into your trunk.

Can you put your car in a garage and let it thaw out? You may have got some moisture in the fuel line and it froze. When is the last time it's been above freezing?

Put it in a heated garage for a few hours, I bet it will start.

i did that paper clip fix for the alarm, does the oem alarm have a kill for the fuel. i tryed to reconnect the plugs to it but it still didnt start.

What do you mean by it had some fuel there? it should be under pressure so it should squitr out not dribble....
