Leon,

I posted some info about this shop (KMS) http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4091 in Georgia

I actually spoke with John who's really knowledgable with the type and type II engines. He mentioned several options available for the Legend besides head work, like custom cams and throttle body work . He suggested someome bring in a legend and he can develop a design to improve the throttle body (he quoted roughly about $250 to overbore the TB). He could also match the intake to the TB for better performance gains. Im not an expert in this area, so forgive me for not using the proper terms in performance mods. Could you put something together with him and get some group prices for these services?

PS For those interested in head work, he quoted $600 for the stage II work for each head ($1200 total). Not sure if thats a good price and it may be cheaper if your just sending in the heads for service. Forgot to ask for details.

Before and After comparison from a Honda V6 Engine

Here's his last email, hes 30 minutes from Atlanta:

We could do lots of things for those applications. We can overbore your throttlebody, we could design cams for it... we could build the whole engine for it. Unfortunately, most of the performance products we could do for this application is a custom one-off piece.

This would drive prices up, however if there are a group of you interested in going in together, we could set up a group buy to lower the R&D costs. If you are interested, give us a call at 770.652.3538.

I'm interested in the TB overboring. $250 isn't too bad, as long as they will also provide a larger TB plate.
I have a complete Type II top end (intake, TB, heads, exhaust) that could be used as a developement mule, rather than laying up someones car for weeks.

PM me if I can help.
Thanks Dave, MC.
I will give him a call. Dave, that sounds like a great idea!
Now, we need to find out demand for this...but I know I need specs first....so, first things first
HEY YOU GUYS?????????????

What about the G1s, what about the G1s. We want in on this as well. Can some one help us on this? Peace and Blessings. Bigs out.:)
I'd be interested in a TB and probably most other mods.
Im in for a TB overbore at the moment. More later
I am down for building the whole top end up. I wont be ready until after NOPI, and I buy another car. After that I will let him have it for a month, and test it. Keep me posted.
Later!
Lee

anyone have a G1 they can donate for the cause?
How many besides Bigs and maybe Ricdogg interested?
Here's some more info regarding the TB service:

There are many other modifications that can be done, however the service you are asking about consists of a velocity stack cut into the throttle body.

This improves air speed and quantity of air delivered. In addition to opening the throttle body, we thin the butterfly and flush mount the screws.

This lessens the turbulence of the incoming air stream... creating more power. The intake manifold is then port matched to the throttle body. If you would like to see some pictures of our work, please visit our website at http://www.honda-performance.com/ if you would like a direct link to pictures of a modified V6 accord throttle body and intake manifold please follow this link

I DON'T BELIEVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

These guys are OFF THE CHAIN. They took the drive train from an NSX and put it in a CRX. Did you guys hear me on this one. They took the engine and transmission from an NSX and placed it in a CRX and they say its running 10s. I sure would love to do that project. As far as the throttle body and the intake being port matched. How much are we talking about and what else can they do to our cars to make them go fast and still remain reliable as hell? Peace and blessings. Bigs out.:D
