the weight of the flywheel gives the engine inertia, it makes a manual trans easy to shift. The flywheel is actually a cheap and simple way to store energy, rotating energy. the engine will rev faster but will also wind down faster also which will make daily driving more fun or challenging.
im gunna take my flywheel down and have it turned :D maybe it will take off a few pounds
