Hey guys. I ve been periodically reading your forum, and I felt like sharing this experience I had with ebay and basically expose the guy that scammed me, and even ask for some help from you guys. A few days ago, I won an auction on ebay for a set of 19 inch wheels and tires. As you can tell by the name I am from Greece, asked the seller to ship to a freight company I know in NY. I made the payment via western union, and all correspondence with the seller was good, courteous and everything. But when he collected the money, he cancelled his email, and the tel he has on ebay records is wrong (if only I had checked this before...!) In any case, I am thinking that if he did it once, he might do it again, so consider this a warning to all of you out there, there is a bogus wheel seller. I do have his name, it is S. Almasri, and he lives in Charlotte NC. If any of you out there live around that area, and know of any BIG people I can hire for *cough* collectors (!! hehehe) pls contact me via email or on this board :-D, I do have his address too (he needed the real data to collect the western union!) His telephone number is unlisted, but am trying to get some info on that issue. As you realize by the "going rate" this is a scam of about $1450 bucks...so any help will be appreciated...
