I've been using dex3 + black lubegard for awhile now, it makes it shift smoother plus it got rid of my torque converter shudder. I have no idea how it compares to Honda ATF though since I have never tried it.
Also each time I have used lubegard I just dumped the whole bottle in after doing a 4 or 5 times fluid change.
