Well I am atleast another few weeks out now that I have decided to go this route :( but it will be worth the wait once it is done. The cost of this build has gone far beyond my expectations (kinda, as I did it to myself). But I figure if I have an end goal in mind I better go in the right direction to get there.

(singthis) One of these solenoids doesn't look like the others, can you guess which one it is before my song is done.

Now of course it is not going in its stock location :)

Ok I started on the wiring for the electronics (Blitz SBC boost controller, Blitz Turbo Timer, and Prosport gauges) and had run into a issue of curiosity as to where to place the boost controller solenoid. After a lot of searching in dissatisfaction I came to the conclusion of, why not put it with the other two are, (TII inake manifold only uses two but has a place for three). So I did and I will also use the TI's connector (has wiring for all three) so I can maintain a clean look. And it just so happened that the drivers side signal light connector plugs right into the Blitz SBC solenoid, score!

Here is another (component testing) teaser of the gauges (less the NEO).
The shiney area to the left of the SBC is a light reflection.

But wait Telion, I used the TII solenid connector and the two outer pins are on teh wrong side?
The pins need to be swapped to the other side of the inner pins so that they go to the correct solenoids.

I really like the look of that telion, really clean but IDK as far as functionallity, they are placed too low to view while driving in my opinion.

this may not be quite the question to ask at this time but how do you pronounce your screen name?

is it like "Te-leon" or "Telly-on"?

I am going to guess that you are referring to teh boost controller and the turbo timer? Initially I thought so too but then after thinking about the functions they perform once they are set they really don't need to be under close watch and they each have warning indicators that turn the backlight red if there is an issue detected. The other gauges are'nt too bad in my opinion and is quite a common location for anyone not wanting gauge pods. I did consider swapping there location with the stock vents in the dash but the width of teh dash would not accomodate the gauges and there would have to be a lot more work. I also considered placeing them above the stereo but it is a flip up that will also display about 6 readings from teh wideband when necessary or at the track.

LOL that's funny; I just had a screen name discussion with ymisoqt about her SN :) but it is Tay-leon.

I wanna get the other electrical done so I can see it with the stereo flipped up, and the NEO inplace and on.

(This is the control tower, you are clear for take off :D)

Not mine but the color scheme coincides with what I want in my engine bay so I am throwing it in here as a reminder

That'll look perfect in your engine bay. Are you gonna upgrade the intake/exhaust springs on the heads? They gotta be stiffer for turbos correct?

I already have when I went to the TII springs I think they will be fine for a while.

Yes this build is going a little slow (very slow) for the last month. But there were some time consuming issues. The turbos needed to be rebuilt and it turns out it was good that I did decide to have this done because one of the CHRA shafts were warped and teh other had a tiny crack in the turbine housing. I should have them back by this time next week though.

I also decided to go with the flexicool corrugated stainess steel radiator hose. I figure this way I am not limited to a particular path to get from point a to point b and I can bend it to teh deesired shape then later, if I decide to I can know the exact form I need to create and do it with piping and silicone couplers.

Since this is also somewhat of my ideas as I go I am going to include my engine bay color scheme motiation and on a side not (this R33 is BAD ASS!)

I bought one 48in. hose kit and another 36in. That should give you enough length to go around whatever you need. One 48in. kit isnt going to be long enough.

Much appreciated :) I better grab a 36" or 24" kit.

Ok things still going slow, should have the turbos this week, and out of my knowing that I would have pure lack of desire to put that big bulky fuel filter back I decided to go with a Trick flow inline fuel filter. It just wouldn't make sense not to.

of course they will be fine, why wouldnt they? The only reason i can think that they wouldnt be fine is if you revved this motor higher RPM then a stock type 2 motor.
well you are right and wrong, here is where you are right yes I can rev the car to and beyond the stock TII car. Here is where you are wrong (well just a slight flaw in your logic, the heads are still RL and their integrity is not as high as the TII but that doesn't necessarily mean it can't be done. but now I have gone way off topic so will have that discussion in another thread.

Slightly back to the topic at hand I was just about to call foul play on teh company I oredered my braided upper radiator hose from and after two weeks it finally came in :woot: worth the wait very pleased. Jen (and Matt) I will get that link to you. I just didn't want to promote a company that didn't deliver.

Ok I could't wait to see the look of the upper radiator hose installed with the hose clamps and I must say I am very satisfied. Excuse the mess, she's still under construction.
