If I want to make my Short Ram Intake a Cold Air Intake...what do i need exactly? Does anyone sell just the extension for let's say a WeaponR TypeII intake? Or do I have to go to a hardware store to find the proper piping?

Anyone have pictures of where EXACTLY the extended pipe goes into?

i bought my 90 degree pipe from jc whitney the online store... I just spray painted it today. When i first installed it, it was too long so i had to cut one side down... so i think one side is 12 inches and the other is about 6 inches... Then i bought a blue coupler (the silicon/rubber thing) and put the two pipes togther... the extention went down hole on the left where the resonator was... You have to remove the rubber coupler thing that has the grill in it. Then tilt your extention pipe in a way so that it stays away from your wheel and closer to your bumper... Then i got some zip ties and tied the bottom end so the pipe was more stable. ANd that's that

haha... okay i'll get my friend's digi cam this week and take a picture... i just painted it blue and put a K&N decal on it... There is only one zip tie that's attached under the fender... it goes around the clamp that goes around the filter and a bracket i installed... This way it supports the heavier pipe by pulling up on the filter and bracket. I'll try and get a picture up soon.

i'm in LA around the alhambra, monteray park area... also in huntington beach a lot

hey here are my pictures. I just uploaded them tonight on imagestation.com... just bought my new digi cam haha i like it. these were taken at night so its not that great of a quality.

haha yeah i know... but bypass doesn't work ne ways... and if it rains i will convert to short ram...

sure why not... haha

no i was serious you could do it. Didn't mean to sound like i thought you dumb or anything. I'm pretty sure somebody has done a weapon r cai. All it is, is adding a 90 degree pipe to another short ram and attaching a filter at the end. No biggy. I just bought an ebay intake and painted it after awhile...

I used high temp. engine paint with ceramic stuff in it. I think it was made by dupli or whoever makes the car paint. It was like 4-5 bucks a can. Took 1 can to put 2-3 coats on the intake and the stock bar. And i used a little less then half a can of high temp. engine ceramic primers and clear coat. Total would be like less than $15 i think.

Yeah its durable... Just don't scratch it on the hole of the car like i did... it'll just mess up the work that you did. It'll look good as long as you don't take a screw driver or something to it while working on your car.

That is some nice work, I think i'd go with the black colo r paint, if not leave it as chrome. job well done.

whats the part number you used from the link below the the 90 degree pipe?

i bought the 90 Mandel-Bent Aluminized Tubing, (A/B)=12, (C)=6", ID=2-7/8", OD=3 number ZX812954Y, but i had to cut one side down about 4"... so i think you could be better off with the 10" a/b pipe or the 8" a/b pipe.... but don't take my word for it.

Yeah i was gonna leave it polished like it was... but it looked weird having everything blue and this chrome piece there. So i figured... why not just keep the theme going... but then i went and got a optima red top battery... hahaha
