ok those of you who said the needles cannot be taken off the legend.....HA! i just had mine put in my GMP performance in charlotte NC they did it for 125 bucks though...everything is great, theyre so pretty!!!.....along with my TENZO-R chu-10's and my RSR/koni combo....this car rocks!!!! yay

Have you driven it yet? Unless that shop recalibrated the needles, all four will read incorrectly....

Nobody said it can't be done, just needs to be done carefully, or done like how you did it. Taken to a specialist. I know people who have done it with no problems. Others broke their needles. I have a set that the needles were taked off professionaly as well. I don't have the gauges on yet as I'm waiting for some custom work to be done, but I fully expect it to be 100% opperational when it is done.

Yeah ... so far this is the only company to support us poor (hee hee) Type II guys. MikeD is looking into a source of indiglow guages for Type II, but until we actually see these, I have my doubts. I believe the MMR's come in white and silver

Yeah I gave Chris my old ones and my firend is getting his sticker cutter soon so I'm going to have him scan the type II stock gauge and make a new face for the speedo and tach if needed.

so what do you call the silver/blue MMR gauges, are they just replacements or are they supposed to be indiglos, how are they lit up? there are no wires with mine, am i supposed to take out those little bulbs above the cluster????

No, they don't light up, they are called whiteface gauges. They are lit from behind by the bulbs in the cluster.

i could be mistaken, but i think the mmr gauges are not indiglos... so you'd prolly want to keep your gauge illuminator lamps in.

if the indiglos go through, i imagine it'll be ok to take them out....

For us members North of the 49th; we will need guages in KM.

What I want is WHITE-faced guages with RED lettering/numbering that illuminates from behind, so at night, all you see is basically the ticks and numbers --kind of like European cars (BMWs Audis).

I have the 160mph guage; WHO makes this cluster???

This is what MMR gauges look like at night, and yes it's lit from behind with your stock backlit bulbs.

And MMR does make the TypeII 160mph gauges.
