"name that part"....

I completely disassembled my car and probably due to old age - cannot remember where the piece in question goes. I've looked in the service manual and parts lists and can't seemed to find it. A picture would probably help, but lets see if anyone can solve this without one first. The car is a '93 Coupe. The part is rubber, rectagular, and about 8" long and 1" wide. It attaches (somewhere) with 3 small weatherstrip push clips. There are two of them-exactly the same. Thanks in advance for the help...this has been driving me crazy.

re-read my post. I'll shoot a picture if I need to...that would be too easy though.

OK...picture coming

I think it's from somewhere under the hood. Anyway, I'll shoot a picture and post it when I get home tonight. I can see why this aproach will not get me an answer.

Im thinking its the trim mounted to the front bumper that goes between the headlights and directly under the hood grille (have to open hood to install)....

OR it's the trim that goes in the interior of the trunk by the trunk latch.

mystery solved...

The trunk was the right answer...the two rubber strips go on the bottom edge of the trunk lid. I'll be posting pictures of the finished car along with the matching NSX next week. Taking the car completely apart before painting it was time consuming, but ultimately the way to go to get a perfect paint job.

That's why I could not find where it went...after reading a couple posts, I checked the trunk area.
