how are they mounted? if the heat fins (usually the top side of the amp) are facing past 90 degrees downwards (such as mounting them on the back of rear seats) heat can build up and kill the amp since the heat fins perform most effectively when heat can rise away from the amp. I had this problem once.

Otherwise, hope you have a warrenty...

Serious questions, where is your ground connected to metal? How good is your power connection to the battery? What guage wire are you using? These are the common leads to overheating amps. Check your connections and make sure it's done right.

if the amp is moutned properly and just getting too hot, it just may be its not getting enough air across the heatsinks.

I have a pair of new cage fans designed to cook amps in cars if youa re insterested, they are about 2 inch radius rans, like a big over size computer fan, you moutned one on each side so its push pull across teh heat sink, and it should take care of the overheating problem.

30 shipped for both...

just make sure you have a good ground. There aren't very many good places to mount a ground. check all your connections, most amps heat up because of a loose connection. Also, you should hook up your power wire directly to the battery with an inline fuse.
