hey guys, my family is getting a new car but dont know which one to go with.

We are thinking about getting:

Nissan Altima S V4
Toyota Camry LE V4
Honda Accord LX V4

with price, power and looks we are leaning towards the altima.

Which one out of these would you choose or is there another car that you recommend?

We are also thinking about getting a used BMW -- Like a 98 or a 99 3 series.

but would prefer brand new than slightly used

any input?

Thanks

I would wait a couple of months for the new accord

The cars are inline4 . If you go with bmw I would go with 99' the yeat of new model design, it'll hold it value mch better down the line, you ought to consider a 2000 v6 accrd, camry, maxima,tl they would be in same price range a the others with more performance/luxury, and without bmw maitenance cost.

Is there a reason your family want the 4 cylinder versions of all the cars above? The altima is definely a sweet car, but I heard the 4cylinder version is a little under powered.

My preference : 1) Altima 2)Accord 3) camry

I agree, especially on the Maxima. If you get a TL, get the 99 with the 4 speed automatic. The newer 5 speeds have had their share of troubles (see thread about this somewhere in this forum).
