Okay, I'm seriously considering picking up some reverse indiglo guages, however I need some help before I decide if I'm going to go ahead with it....
1. is there any fix or modification to correct the "disappearing needle" effect at night?? I don't think adding glowinthedark stickers is a real fix for this problem. Has anyone been able to ad backlit needles from another car? ....I was thinking, does anyone think it would be possible to wire up a small black light where the front guage cluster light bulbs currently are, then paint the needles in something that will react (light up) when exposed to black light? This would only work if the rest of the cluster did not react to the black light.
2. Once I install reverse indilgo guages, do they use our stock dimmer switch? I want to be able to adjust the brightness of the reverse indiglo incase I find it too bright at night.... this could be a deal breaker for me if I can't.
3. Lastly, has *anyone* seen or know where I can get reverse indiglo guages for a TypeI (ie 140mph/220kph) that has KPH as the large numbering and the MPH as the smaller numbering for us Canadians/Europeans?? I know that s/R Motorsports is talking about making TypeII reverse indiglos in both the MPH version(for US owners) and KPH for Canadians/Eurppeans, but these are TypeII and I need KPH reverse indiglos for a TypeI!!
If you have any info/Advice, PLEASE HELP!!!!
