You can reach the expansion valve by removing the blower assembly, it is a tight fit but you should at least be able to see if there is a leak there. If the evaporator is itself leaking then you would need to remove the dash to get it out.
Need help with AC fix
Hello Forum, I am in the process of trying to get my Air Conditioner fixed.for starters it needs a compressor which I pulled from the Yard already. also its leaking somewhere and its not under the hood maybe somewhere in the dash,maybe the evaporator or expansion valve my mechanic tells me. does anyone know anything about this. and is the only way to it is to take the whole dash out? thanks for any feedback.I just purchased the car and the last owner tells me the car sat for about a year. my LEGEND is a 92 Coupe LS 5spd.
