here is a preview. need help, opinion, suggestion, advice!
Just thought i asked before i put the tire back on and move on to the driver side caliper.

im putting on the 3rd coating. started since 12:00 pm and that is the first caliper. hahahaha still got 3 left to go. i had a hard time gathering tools,
and trying to very hard to loosen the lugnuts. Not only that i ONly have one jack. =(

Its really windy, i should have waited, or done it earlier,

i dont have a vacant garage.

What kind of paint did you use? Most of the High temp engine paint will peel off/ rust through in a few months. I did mine like yours (only silver) 3 coats a few months back and it looks like crap now. I'll be re-doing mine pretty soon and ordered the brush on kit from autoaccessory store (banner link). They have folia-tec and "G2" brand caliper specific paint in all different colors~ it's supposed to provide a hard rust-proof chip resistant /brake dust resistant coating.

I cleaned it really well, but no primer. I did not know of any high temp primer available for that. I used engine paint the 1st time.

Joeman: - they have high temp at autozone , i'm not sure what brand, but it was like gray. i didn't prime mine either, because sombody just told me to do a couple of layers and i'll be fine......
this would be my frist time with VHT paint. Hope they last longer than 6 monts! hahaha

i painted mine red and it wasnt even high-temp paint. only the brake dust is the prob, wiped it up and its still like new...near new. had it about over a year.

It is the only way to go.

I'm done for the day. i only did the front calipers. Tommrow i'll see if i can do the rears.. It should be easier for me now since i know what to do, what to cover up and etc... i'm thinking about doing 5-6 coats. but its all good! fo sho! also on the rear i'm going to paint the face of the rotors (not the rotor surface) just to add a little spice in my rice!

Problem with powdercoating (and chroming)~ doesn't that insulate the metal? You want as much heat dissipation as possible with your calipers and rotors.

Yeah, hence the drilled and slotted rotors that we all sought to buy and install. It would be better if you left your rotors alone.

I did all 4 calipers, I left the rotors alone. It looks aites...

I just noticed that the front calipers are much larger than the rears.... ahhaha i was like w f f???? but yeah i used up all the spray in that one bottle. i guess i put 6-7 coats on the rears.

I was able to take pictures of the finish product, i will post up later. just check back later tonight.

I was also able to take picture the process. I'll show u guys what i did, kinda like a quick diy of what i did. Fo sho!

i noticed that my wheel well is very dirty, anything i can buy to spray paint it black, so it will be a glossy look, and be great resistant?
