eBay featuring a window switch:

1992 Acura Legend Coupe Window Switch

My questions are:

A) Will this work in a 94 L?
B) On the Parts Master Sheet, it shows 2 part numbers for L & LS. The parts outlined look like the same part that the person is selling on eBay minus the top cosmetic panel, would the only reason for 2 part numbers is the cosmetic portion on the LS is real wood versus the Simulated Wood on the L?

If that part does work, then it should resolve all issues with rolling down your window. I would be inquiring as to why the knobs and things are missing. It seems that maybe someone tried opening it up to fix it maybe because it was not working, and decided to keep the trim (especially if it came from an LS) because that part is very expensive. If it does work, however, you can take yours apart and replace the missing pieces on the good unit.

According to what I see in the parts sheet, it says it would take 0.2 hours of labor to do it. It sounds like I don't need to take apart the door, so can I just pry open that part and do a quick swap or am I being mislead in the 0.2 hours of labor issue?

12 minutes..........hmmmmm When I changed mine out, took me more like 30-45 minutes. Then again, I am a DIYer. You have to loosen the door panel, and remove the screws from the bottom in order to pull the unit out. And if I remember correctly, the door hinge thing wouldn't allow me to get my hands far enough under the door or too see sell enough to do the job without just removing the door panel almost entirely. There is also a bracket that holds that thing down that has to be removed. Once you do all of that, there are about 4 screws holding the plastic or wood piece (if you have a LS) to the window switch. Take those off, replace the unit, and put everything back. Oh....there are also a couple of connectors that you have to disconnect too. I am not sure if your car comes with the heated mirrors and such, but that is a separate unit all together even though it is mounted with the window switch.

Hey,
I saw that part, and it is missing th top part of the switch. When mine first stopped working, I took it out and thoght about trying to open the switch housing....but it was kindda tough to do. You have to remove some screws, and pry it off. It seems like there are some springs under the buttons too. Either way, I decided against it, and just bought another one.
