Just a short note to say thank you to all of you who have really helped me out over the last couple of years with your "Legend" knowledge. Many a times I have found the correct solution to one of my problems on this page. My 92 Legend has 203,000 miles and still runs and looks like a champ. This is not to say that I have not had to replace a ton of [email protected]#$--I have! I was a mechanic in the Navy for a few years so I have done almost all of the work myself. I have some great connections with in the Connecticut area that always seem to find that "HARD" to find Legend part. Please feel free to e-mail me if any of you have a question about parts or instructions--although I doubt any of you will need instructions--about Legends. Sorry about the length of this post--Just wanted to introduce myself and say thank you!

Question: "Has anyone here (after replacing the ignition tumbler, door locks, and trunk switch) ever had to0 many KEYS? All these parts were found in the junk yard--Have any of you this problem. Can a locksmith make "ONE" master key for me? Second, I read on this page that some of you have taken 1500 grit sandpaper to your lights--does this really work? I am a little nervous about scratching the plastic!

A locksmith can rekey the cylinders. Usually rekeys the trunk, glovebox, and doors to the ignition. Acura used to sell a complete lock kit to be used if a vehicle was broken into and several of the cylinders destroyed. All the cylinders were keyed to the new ignition switch. You should have thought about this while you had the door panels off, but now you shall just have to invest some time to remove the two door cylinders, the glove box and trunk lock.

aftermarket keyless entry can be found here for $44.95, the OEM unit is around $200, if u want to go OEM check Ebay. I have this same aftermarket unit on my legend and it works just fine :)
