I decided that when I finally bite the bullet and get an exhaust I'm gonna go big bucks and get a custom dual setup. Sooooooo in the meantime I decided to get a new muffler to give me better looks, sound and performance.

It is simply amazing...totally changes the character of the car. Perhaps to the dismay of many, I decided to go with flowmaster at the prodding of the exhaust place at which I got the work done. I had a flowmaster on my 1991 Camaro and it transformed that car as well.

So what's the bad news? I decided to get pics of the new setup when I cleaned my whip today (which I did successfully), but also wanted to get a recording of the new belch my baby puts out. Since I have a laptop I just hooked up a microphone and went out side.

Well, I must have put my laptop in too moist of an area because the whole f'n thing just shorted out on me. I'm on my Mom's puter now because mine won't even turn on. At least the pics came out good...

Check 'em out...

Wow, I like the tip on that muffler. How does it sound and how much did it run you and was it a bolt on or did you have to get it done at a shop?

It seriously sounds like I have a big V8 under the hood now. The idle is really something else. My computer is working again so I'll try to get some wav's today.

The paint looks real clean, makes me want to get mine repainted even more. Must be nice having the 6-speed too, you got my dream car !!!

What is going on with the sideskirts though? It looks like you just have a clip loose or something, doesn't look that hard to fix if you just take them off and make sure that the clip gets connected right. If you need me to just shoot me and email and I can scan the pages from my helm manual for you.

Holler if you ever wanna sell, same goes for you Darren!!! :D

nice jason! where did you find that exhaust?!? I've been looking for that 80 mm oval gerhard's exaust everywhere... =/ so I gave up and went for the ricer 3.5" tip exhaust... I've dualed-out my exhaust a while back but never got any pictures. I'll try to have them up soon for you guys.

I'm not totally sure of the brand name of the tip, but it says "reactive" on it so I assumet hat's it. My car is a 6-speed...and don't get too jealous over my paint...90% of it is really nice but there are some spots on the driver side door, fender and on the roof that are turning a little pink. Honestly I'd like to make it a dark color, just my preference.

The pic of the side skirts and fender are the only two really noticiable imperfections on the whole car. Speeddemon, it looks as if it's actually starting to warp (!) a bit, causing the situation that you see in the pics.

About a couple of weeks ago I posted a question about modest body kits for G2 legend coupes to kind of take care of 2 birds with 1 stone. :) Any suggestions would be appriciated.

I'm going to try again in about an hour to get a wav or two of the sound. I'm not kidding when I say it sounds like a V8 at idle.

Talk to you later..

Jigga, I was nuts when I was thinking about selling it. I just lost my job and had that hopelessness that comes along with it. No one is taking it away from me now. :)

Good luck on finding one though...I can't think of a car that gets as much respect for that little of money. In the words of my friend (a mustang *blech* owner): "It's a really nice car until you realize it has a 6-speed...that's when you **** your pants."

Elequent, no?
