I did a motor swap without removing the transmission, it's possible.

Hahahah Nas. Sorry accpilot I have not done it both ways. I've only done it once and I didn't unbolt the tranny. Actually, what I did was remove the rack n pinion and dropped the motor from the bottom with the tranny still attached to the car.accpilot said:Hey Flip, thanks for getting back to me. have you done it both ways?
