do you have alot of friends with nextel?
if not this choice is not even close
go with verizon
i bought nextel becuase of the stupid dc
but i have found out that the receptions in my area is horrible
cant even make a call when im in my room
the direct connect is ok.... no big deal
ask around
coverage in certain areas varies dramaatically
my 1 cent is that if i had to redo it, i wouldve stuck with verizon
i should have read your post more clearly
lol
:D

how can you say nextel phones are huge and gigantic?
the i860 and i830 arent that big
nextel is also the only company that successfully have two way walkie talkie
when verizon and sprint launch their version, it failed to my knowledge
why the hell am i defending nextel?
:giggle:
but yea there are also pros to nextel, like the dc
this is the classic quanity vs quality agrument :D
just get verizon.

i have verizon for the past 2 1/2 years, and i have no complaints. Customer service is excellent in my experience, as well as reception and call quality. I am thinking of switching to AT&T/Cingular in june when my contract is up because they seem to have plans that suit my needs better, plus rollover minutes.. don't know about their customer service though

The only reason Nextel has the market in the two way is because they have been at it much longer than anyone. Sprint is still trying to promote their "Ready Link." I think it will work out for them once enough people get a ready link equipped handset...I have no idea about Verizons tho.

if Verizons two-way failed, it was because they only had it available on 1 or 2 phones...Nextel has that on damn near every phone that they offer. But ive been with Verizon for like 3 years, and have no complaints...i get reception EVERYWHERE, even deep in rural areas in VA where im roaming.

*throws up V* :D

The business we just bought came with the previous owners cell phone. He has Verizon. In my area, Verizon has great coverage areas, but I get more dropped calls than I ever had with any other company. Its frustrating. I don't know anything about Nextel.

are u sure chamkila911
are they goin to merge the company?
and share the same towers?
i thought they were on different signal?
personally i dont think sprint and verizon will ever succeed with the two way.
nextel have a huge majority of the markey share
but if nextel will allow customers to port their dc number over to the other company then maybe itll work.
i dotn know my two way is never that clear anway lol
so i barely used it anymore :)

do anyone notice the demographic with cellphone customers?
when i used to sell cell phone for a living like 5 years ago lol
people who get turn down for verizon would go over to sprint and leave like a 125 dollars depoist.
the hardest to get approve for in my opion is
verizon
nextel
sprint
tmobile
dont know about cingular/att
but i heard they are pretty lax on your creidt too

verizon has a nasty habit of not supporting technology that they don't believe in.

prime example being bluetooth, they crippled the bluetooth feature so much in my phone, v710, that its not worth ish. I have to go back into the store and have them "free" up my phone. stupid, but the service is great.

but its call a cell phone?
what good is a cell phone if you cant talk on it?
i could care less about all these other phones company that offer bluetooth and other stuff
all i want my cell phone to do is to allow me to have a clear conversation with the other party.
if i want a camera, ill buy a digital camera
if i want a pda, ill buy a palm
etc...
in my opion i still think verizon is still the best bang for the buck
