Nippon & Mitsuba starters

So the starter in my gen one Legend died the other week. Instead of spending $400 odd to get one in Aus, I ordered one for $100 from the US. I have since learnt that the US cars use a Nippon Denso starter, while the Aus cars the the Mitsuba starter.

My question is, will the Nippon starter work on my car?
