I was messing around with my OEM keyless entry system this weekend. I think I may have caused a fuse to blow on the security system.

The reason I think this is because I hit the ARM/LOCK button on the remote and the door locks and the security indicator light on the door starts to flash. The opposite happens when I push the button again DISARM/UNLOCK.

This is normal I know, but I can't get the alarm to actually trigger. I will sit inside the car arm the security system and then unlock it manually from inside. This normally sets the alarm off (horn blazing, lights flashing), but nothing.

Is there a fuse or is it something else?

Thanks

check your fuses in the driver footwell, then check all the ones under the hood, if all are there, then you're gonna have to take off the panel below your steering wheel, and find where the alarm installer wired in the inline fuse. after that, take it back to the installer and tell him to fix that alarm!

good luck

It's the factory alarm? Is there an inline fuse on the factory alarm? If so, anybody know where it is?
