Loose or disconnected ground wires can cause this problem. Did you do some work on it and then have the no spark condition or did it just not start one day? Two grounds that I know for sure will cause this are: One that connects to the themostat housing and one that connects to the fuel rail(under the plastic covers).

Could be a bad starter but,
could also be a weak battery or bad connection.
