Main relay and fuel pump work fine. I do get fuel. But i noticed that i don't get any spark. I was thinking it could be the ignition switch but the car doesn't start at all. It cranks twice then i get a loud grinding metal sound. I was thinking it was the starter...but after noticing the car not getting any spark. I don't know what the main culprit is....any suggestions????....i spent more money fixing this car than any other car i ever owned.

already searched over 20 times on this no start issue......not one really had the same problem i encountered.
I feel ya on the most money spent!

If you find the culprit, let me know; I'm parting out my Sedan and have all of the ignition pieces still available.

I'd agree with LS92Sedan though-probably the crank sensor....

I think it is the igniter module. Check that because it will cause a complete no spark condition. It is located on the passenger side apron near the bolts on the strut tower. One way to check the cam sensor (if it looks ok) is if you can put it on a scope and crank (turn the engine w/ starter) the car to see if it is giving a uniform signal. Another way is to get a noid light (12V light bulb that plugs in to the harness of a fuel injector, easy to make if you can't find one to buy.) and put it on one of the injector harness connectors to see if the computer is pulsing the injectors (the light will flash). If not then the cam sensor would be more suspect than the igniter. If the injector is pulsing then I would get an igniter module.

Just my $.02
Very good idea.

Well, today the car won't get spark anymore again......   .....after soo many problems BHG, and now electrical problems...i might as well go back to college and get a auto mechanic degree....i finally bought a ohm meter yesterday and got my helms manual back from my brother.......

i first noticed that from the fuse box in the engine bay...there is a large ground wire connecting to the tranny(By the starter)...that wire was pretty beatup and aged....i cleaned it off and electrical taped it...the car started right up....but today no spark again...so back to square one...now that i have the helms back...i'll take a look more closely and test my ignitor to see if i get any current through it....i guess i'll check all my coil packs while im on it....and recheck the ground from the fuse box....i'll let you know if i find anything....oh, and your having the same probelms huh???
It would seem he is. I did some researching last night using a wiring diagram in the engine performance and mod section, and I believe it to be the c4 wire from the ecu harness in his case.

He's gettin an ecu error code 15, and his tach is not working either, both of which route through that wire. If you could pull an ecu code, it may be something totally different-or not.

Ignition problems are just sooooooo fun :)
