OEM Honda Main Rod Bearings?

959 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  ZCHondaCRX91
I saw the OEM Honda bearings are unavailable now, so does anyone know where I can still get OEM ones? There are aftermarket ones, but I prefer OEM if I can. I know the Accord C27 has the bearings available, but the part numbers don't match up. It's kind of weird that the accord C27 is said to be the same, but it seems like all the part numbers are different. Did honda do this because of improvements in design? Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

I cannot post a link here. But I googled "OEM Honda bearings" and took the first site. See if that is useful or others below it.

The trouble is the legend bearings are unique (so I can't use any other OEM bearings) and most honda OEM parts dealers say discontinued. I just figured maybe someone knew of someone who might have some sets still around.
When I rebuilt my motor, I bought a refurbished crankshaft that came with a set of the connecting rod bearing caps. So you'll need to call around a shop that does refurbish crankshafts or a parts store since they need to measure the journals on the crankshaft to give you the correct thickness.

I'm asking about the bearings, not the bearing caps. I've rebuilt too many honda engines to count, and one of the things I value most is OEM Parts (especially rings and bearings), so I like to find those first if I can.

I just thought about how the Accord C27 is basically the same as the legend, OEM bearings are available for that. Does anyone know if the crankshafts interchange? From the specs they appear to be the same, so the bearings should be the same.
