Just curious, about how much does a new shift knob for my 92 Automatic sedan cost from the dealer? I know I could find this out by contacting Acura of Augusta but its late and I want an answer fast:)...Mine is looking somewhat worn...Thanks.

Over $100 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!
Bastids, lol.

Someone on the forum had a nice one which started with an "L..".. I would rather buy one of those at that cost...
Levoc shift knobs....i got one with chrome and wood print to match the interior, i get nothing but compliments since it stands out.

Are there any good shift knobs that are shorter than the OEM one. I don't like how long it is? Where should I look for these?
I have a Levoc shift knob, and yes its a good one. It does match the wood and the chrome accent is nice. I got it pretty cheap too. I hear that the regular price is 79.99, but I got it for 39.99, much less, less that half for mine. I even got the button to work. There are a few mods you need to make to make it fit. I shaved the little black adapter under the shaft about an inch. I still have the OEM shifter if any1 is interested. I also noticed that it is alot shorter that the OEM knob. Looks pretty fresh. I get alot of props on it. I recommend it.

I have the Levoc wood/chrome shift knob too. It looks awesome, but it requires some modification to fit. Definitely better than the stock knob. I got raped on mine though, I got it for $100. A lot of guys are finding theirs for much cheaper.
Where'd you guys get your Levoc shift knobs? I think they look great but I don't have anything else chrome in the car except the door handles so I'm not sure it'd go over that well. How about a GS shift knob on an L? Is it an easy swap?

I got mine from www.napolex.com, but like I said, compared to these other guys I got raped on price.

The GS shift knob is ugly and it is really tall so it may get in the way of any aftermarket deck. As one member on the old board put it, it looks like a dildo. ;)
ha yep i said it looked like a dildo and i still have that thing in my car  The shifter i had on my 94 sedan was good. The one with the button under and your had fit good on it. So if you people that changed yours wana sell one tell me! thanks a bunch.
how much of a modification is required to make the Levoc shifter fit on our Legends??
Can someone post a few pictures (chrome with wood is the one I like).

Thanks guys!
p.s. Cody, you're right about the dildo look....lol!;)
For the Levoc knob, you either have to A)Saw off a portion of the black plastic at the bottom of the shifter to be able to push the knob down far enough to screw it into place and for it to activate the shift lever, or B)Remove the bottom piece of the shift knob and carve out the plastic inside of the knob to be able to push the knob down far enough to screw it into place. I did it this way because if I did not want to modify the shifter in case I ever wanted to put the stock knob back on. A drawback to this is that the bottom piece of the shift knob has to stay off, however the knob still looks good.

Hey which one of these shifters do you guys have? I'm guessing the first on would work since it has the clicker on the top just like the OEM shifter compared to the 2nd one which I believe you guys have.

Levoc shift knobs listed from $39-$79.00 w/ pictures
here http://www.optauto.com/webstore/

Read the small print, some are listed for Acuras. This is just one of the links I found.
Mike:cool:
So do any of the other newer Acuras shiftknobs fit our legends? They have OEM TL wood shiftknobs all the time...Thanks.
I got a Levoc shift knob a few months back and haven't put it on yet because I knew I'd have to deal with the black plastic piece. Is there any way to pull that off with cutting it?

I don't think so. Just modify the shift knob by taking out the white plastic inside of it. You have to whittle it away with a knife or similar tool.

The second one. On the second one, the top of it is a button you push down.
