I sold my car last week and have been driving my sisters 1986 Legend Sedan (86,000 miles) until I get something new.

I'm feeling sorry for the car, so I'm going to change it's oil. As expected from my sister, there is no manual in the car.

What is the oil capacity?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.

I was estimating about 4.7 - 5.5, so I was close.

BTW - That was a severe PIA oil change! Awrg!

ACTUALLY... that's only up to the top line on the dip-stick... the actual capicity of the motor is around 15 quarts, but then again, who would want a motor full of oil...:D

PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME....
saw a couple girls lock up a nissan like that... "we put oil up to the top (of the valvecover)... and it turned over, but wouldn't start, now it wont turn over..."
