Hey gang,

I'm reading some of these threads and some of you mention how you don't have leaking problems with the type of oil that you use. I have a '92 legend with 82K miles, and recently my dad changed the oil. He used (don't laugh) Exxon Superflo 10w-30. Now my car is leaking all of the sudden. I don't think he overtightened the drainbolt or anything. (I also switched the type of oil filter from Fram to Penske).

Could my car be leaking oil because of the type of oil I'm using? If so, can I just drain the oil and put in a different kind, or do is there some sort of flushing process that needs to be done?

the type of oil that you are using is the thickest recomended already. so i don't think it's the oil. can you see where the oil is coming from? .....bolt, filter ????
try tighten the filter or the bolt and see what happens
