i had painted my taillights with the transparent red paint a long time ago and it's starting to fade off and i wanted to take off the old paint, tried paint thinner and that doesnt work and tried some other stuff but it's not coming off. not sure what kind of products take off spray enamel

sand paper is your best bet. sand down to the plastic then use 2000 grit to smooth it out then use plastic polish and rubbing compound.

on my sc400, i tried to take off the red enamel i put on. i tried using everything and didn't have much luck. so i used aircraft remover and it ruined the taillights.... life lesson, don't use aircraft remover.
