Please HELP! I have internal window problems!

Hello again,

I am having a big problem with my drivers side window... When I roll it down it works fine, but when going up it makes a nasty scraping sound, scratches my tint, then once it gets near the top "pops" out of the window sealer and leaves at least a 1/4" gap betwen the edge of the window glass and the run channel... The bottom seals fine, but sometimes I can actually stick fingers between the window run channel and the window glass...

This all happened after replacing my run channel... I followed the directions @ Legendtuner.com, but to no avail... My window "guides" inside the door are in the very bottom position (which is supposed to fix this problem) but there is still a gap. Today I tried grinding the slot for the window rail adjustment (so I could set it lower) and this only caused the window to pop almost all the way out of the run channel.

I also noticed that the steel window guide closest to my drivers door (right side if looking at it from inside the vehicle) is slightly tweaked/twisted. I thought maybe that was a big problem, so I got a fix-it-all wrench and twisted it back straight. Now the window guide (with window glass removed) goves straight up and down, but it doesn't appear to line up with the slot for the window very well. Im not even sure my window will fit into the guide!

WHAT DO I DO? Acura dealer locally wanted to charge like $130+ just for the labor on the window run channel, so I did this all myself. BIG MISTAKE. Anyone have experience with glass run channels and the window guides? Can you explain if my guide should be bent, straight, lined up etc? I hope it doesn't rain any time soon (yeah right, this is Washington, remember?)...

Thanks....

Well I think that bending my window guide back did the trick... No more hideous scraping noise and no more scratching...

FYI: Installing window run channels can have undesireable effects! Your guides should be pretty straight, and they will not appear to line up exactly with the hold for the window glass...
