the motor was fully rebuilt block up with all OEM parts. everything new. all the mounts, cv's, waterpump, every single thing was changed out. I'm up for a meet sometime if we get more than just a few people from springfield and stl. nobody else really that close to us except for like... tulsa and kansas city. we'll figure something out eventually.Searchin4acoupe said:Looks great! I think you and I need to meet - I'd love to see your car in person.
after the software and hardware build was done (in the house), it took me about 2-3 hours to wire and set up the gps and calibrate the touchscreen. pretty easyBallistic said:So awsome Shaar! I really want to make this my next project.
how long did it take you to set-up? (not install in your console)
hmm. the leds i used were just 3mm red 5000mcd led's. the resistors came with the 100 led's i ordered so i'm not sure exactly what they were, but from my calculations, they should be 820 ohm resistors. Remember, if you're putting the led's in a series, you will need less resistance or your leds will be dim. if you're keeping them single, the 820 ohm resistors will be perfect. The gauges i just switched out the 4 bulbs to red 194's. the gear indicator in the cluster i changed it all to red along with the turn signals and cruise control. for those you will have to take the cluster apart and remove the colored plastic in front of each indicator you want to change, trace the little square out onto a clear folder of your choice (pick your colors) and cut 3 for each indicator followed by the same size/shape piece of plain paper to flatten out the light and prevent it from looking cheap and hot spotty.GreekPower said:Looks damn nice, wanna share how you did the LED interior?
