factory color?

If its a repaint it looks like they did a good job on the door jams.

my dealer brochure is down in the car and besides, the sun is behind all the clouds here in GREY, rainy washington state.

Thats a OEM color, ive seen a couple Legends in NYC that color before, all 94-95's.

I have seen a few purpleish merlot legends around but I dont think
it was that purple, My guess is a repaint but I could be wrong. :headscrat

That picture does look quite purplish (maybe aftermarket), but if its the OEM color, it's Garnet Red. It's more of a dark maroon in person.

I believe it was only available on 94-95 sedans too

Yup that is Garnet red. Seen 2 in my life of acknowledging legends. Looks like you could get drunk when standing next to it.

Definitely garnet red metallic. That's the one on Phoenix craigslist, huh? I was thinking of going to take a look at it this week. Looks nice and it's local.

i remember from some old legend site that said that plum like color was the rarest color on a legend i was a vigor color i think!

maroon?? that straight up looks purple. i dont believe thats OEM at all. definitely a re-paint. maybe it was a crappy maroon re-paint...but it cant be OEM in my opinion

i think what he is trying to say (just can't write good) is that its the color originally used on the Vigors, Prior to being used on a Legend.

I feel better knowing there was at least one OEM color that is less desirable than mine :rofl: ...I usually hear, it looks real nice, but it is too gold...
